Hayley Ryan
Clinical Nurse Consultant specialising in Wound Care
Hayley Ryan is a nationally recognised Clinical Nurse Consultant and the Founder and Director of WoundRescue, a service providing advanced wound care support across Australia and New Zealand. With over 20 years of experience, Hayley has transformed access to specialist wound care through telehealth and digital health pathways, empowering clinicians and improving patient outcomes nationwide.
She is a Chief Investigator on the NHMRC ENABLE Partnership Grant, an Adjunct Fellow at UTS, and a former Chair of Wounds Australia, where her leadership helped shape national policy — most notably contributing to the establishment of the $48 million national wound consumables scheme. A multiple award-winning clinician, educator, and researcher, Hayley’s work spans clinical excellence, system reform, and compassion-driven care. She continues to inspire through her national and international presentations, advancing the vision of healing lives, not just wounds.

Beth Freeman-Gray
Registered Nurse
Beth Freeman-Gray is a Registered Nurse with 40 years of experience in the acute care, community care and aged care sector.
Her career has spanned the critical care area with a passion for wound management, improving health literacy, safety quality and compliance. Beth continues to work clinically and runs her own business as a Safety Quality and Compliance Consultant.

Margo Asimus
Registered Nurse
Margo Asimus is an experienced Nurse Practitioner specialising in wound management, recognised as one of the first in Australia authorised to practise in this field. With nearly 30 years of clinical experience, she has made significant contributions through leadership, education, and research. Margo has served as the national president of Wounds Australia, practised extensively in advanced wound clinics across the Hunter region, and is a co‑editor of Wound Management for the Advanced Practitioner.
A sought‑after national and international speaker, Margo founded Skin & Wound Care Consultancy in 2016, providing specialised wound consultation and education services across Australia. Her ongoing focus is advancing wound education to support the implementation of best‑practice care nationwide.
